It is designed for Sinhala-speaking adults who know some basic English but want more confidence speaking at work and in everyday life, especially in Dubai and the UAE.
Is the class completely in Sinhala?
No. English comes first. Short Sinhala explanations are used when they help you understand the phrase or activity, but the speaking practice stays in English.
Do I need good English before I join?
No. The course is for learners who already know some basic English but find speaking difficult or lack confidence.
Will I have to speak in front of everyone?
You will be encouraged to practise, but the class is designed to reduce pressure. You can type first, practise with the group and speak when you are ready. Pair work is optional and there are chat-based alternatives.
Is there an exam?
No formal exam. Progress is checked through practical speaking and simple can-do activities.
Will you correct my accent?
The focus is clear communication and confidence, not judging accents. We respect every accent and correct language in a supportive way after you finish speaking.
How long is the course?
The main course has 8 weekly online sessions. Each session is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
